Engineer by profession, Pavel Filip launched himself in politics in 2011, joining the DPM. He was Minister of Information Technologies and Communications – an area in which he made himself be remarked due to the development of the Digital Moldova 2020 Strategy, making possible the travels to Europe without visa through issuance of biometric passports, and making internet and mobile telephony more accessible. 

Being the Government’s leader, Pavel Filip carries out the necessary reforms for creating new and more correct mechanisms for the operation of the State, which would not allow any abuse against citizens. The Governance Program is based on the implementation of the Republic of Moldova – European Union Association Agreement. 

Pavel Filip graduated from the Technical University of Moldova, at that time – the Polytechnic Institute from Chisinau, and subsequently obtained a diploma from the International Institute of Management.
