The PSRM-ACUM parliamentary majority refused to put on the Parliament’s agenda the PDM faction’s proposal to vote in the second reading the draft law on the social benefits for children
The PSRM-ACUM parliamentary majority refused to include on today’s agenda of the Parliament the proposal of the faction of the Democratic Party of Moldova to vote in the second reading the draft law on the social deliverables for children, by setting a monthly state allowance of 200 MDL for all the children up to 18 years old.
The draft law passed in the first reading of the previous parliament. PDM notes that promoting and adopting this law would help to reduce the level of stigmatization of families with children with small incomes and of the level of discrimination. Furthermore, the monthly allowance would enhance the social protection of all the children in Moldova.
Acording to data of the National Bureau of Statistic, at the end of 2018 675,974 of children were living in Moldova.
