The General Prosecutor's Office refuses to present a copy of the ordinance for starting a criminal case regarding alleged acts of usurpation of state power, because of lack of evidence

The General Prosecutor's Office refuses to present the copy of the ordinance, signed by the interim general prosecutor, Dumitru Robu, for starting a criminal case regarding alleged acts of usurpation of power in the state.

The refusal of General Prosecutor’s Office is motivated by the fact that the group of PDM MPs, who requested the presentation of the copy, would not have indicated with respect to what circumstances the presentation of the copy is requested, that the criminal prosecution would be started not on the concrete person, but on the fact, and that the materials would be confidential.

The Democratic Party of Moldova considers that the refusal is related to the lack of evidence in this fabricated file at the order of the PSRM-ACUM alliance, a file that is part of a large campaign of intimidation and harassment of PDM representatives during the electoral period.

The Democratic MPs will attack in court the answer of refusal of the General Prosecutor's Office.

We recall that, at the beginning of August, a group of PDM MPs asked for a copy of the ordinance of the General Prosecutor’s Office on the initiation of the criminal file regarding alleged acts of usurpation of power in the state, in order to be able to attack it in court, including on the reason that this decision is illegal from the perspective of the procedure.

At the same time, PDM will submit several complaints and notifications to the General Prosecutor's Office, both on proven facts regarding the usurpation of power by the current governing regime, including during June 8-15, as well as regarding several illegalities committed, abuse and excess of power.
