The Democratic Party of Moldova urge the governing regime to stop the blackmail on civil servants, to stop the repressive measures against them

The Democratic Party of Moldova notes that the PSRM-PAS-PPDA Alliance has been promoting in public positions relatives of the leadership of these parties since their first days of government, through a total lack of transparency.

Those who have criticized until yesterday the institutional nepotism and promised transparent appointments on professionalism criteria, violate thier commitment and prove that they are in fact those who promote nepotism in state institutions.

We request, in this context, the immediate resignation of Mr. Gheorghe Balan from the position of Chief of General Police Inspectorate (IGP), who has a family realtionship with the new Minister of Interior, Andrei Năstase, which clearly represents a conflict of interest.

Also, we draw attention of the society and diplomatic missions to a wide process started by the PSRM-PAS-PPDA regime of forcing civil servants to resign. Public employees are threatened with criminal files about their activity in the past, if they do not resign. We urge the governing regime to stop this blackmail on civil servants, to stop the repressive measures against them.
