Participation of PDM MPs in the Inquiry Commission on the banking fraud rejected by PSRM-ACUM Coalition

Participation of PDM MPs in the Inquiry Commission on the banking fraud rejected by PSRM-ACUM Coalition

Today, the PDM MPs proposed to include two representatives of the PDM faction in the Inquiry Commission on the elucidation of the circumstances of the plundering of the Moldovan banking system and the investigation of the banking fraud . The motion was rejected by the PSRM-ACUM Coalition.

Thus, the right of the opposition to participate constructively in the work of a commission of investigation is violated, the status of MPs providing not only the right, but also the obligation to participate in the examination of the issues that fall within the Parliament competence.

The selective approach of including PDM MPs in the Inquiry Commission is a defiance of the legislation and it flagrantly violates the prerogatives attributed by the population to its elected representatives in Parliament. The lack of transparency and the use of undemocratic instruments will lead to the presentation of fragmented conclusions, according to PDM MPs.
