Democratic Party of Moldova is calling parliamentary parties to dialogue again

Democratic Party of Moldova is calling parliamentary parties to dialogue again to identify solutions to constitutional and political crisis. Vlad Cebotari, Deputy Chairman of PDM, makes the call again today.

Vlad Cebotari, who is the leader of the group of negotiators appointed by PDM, underscored that yesterday, the democrats invited to dialogue the factions of PSRM, PAS and DA, however, until now there was no clear response in this sense from the three parties.

"The reason for this dialogue is evident and it is not that the development partners are urging us to do so. Let us admit, we are in a constitutional blockade, and we cannot overcome it, because we have the rulings of the Constitutional Court that must be applied", explained Vlad Cebotari. He also said that the Democratic Party would propose several solutions to overcome the blockade.

Vlad Cebotari also said that political declarations, statements of some officials or press releases do not change the essence and the content of the ruling of the Constitutional Court. "Pursuant to these rulings of the Constitutional Court, we now have one Government, led by Pavel Filip, which is an acting government with limited competences, and a dismissed Parliament", said Vlad Cebotari. At the same time, PDM Deputy Chairman underscored that this situation puts all public officials in a very difficult position, and the confusion deepens each day.

"Our call to politicians who want to be responsible is let us sit down at the discussion table and find ways out of this blockade", called Vlad Cebotari.
