Organization of Elderly People
The DPM’s National Organization of Elderly People boosts participation of elderly people in social and political life within the DPM and assumes responsibility for developing and proposing the strategy as well as the DPM’s Political Programme in the field of social protection of elderly people.
Any person or an elderly person who is the member of the DPM, advocating the implementation of the DPM’s Political Programme and assuming responsibility for active participation in the organization’s life may become a member of the National Organization of Elderly People.
The DPM’s National Organization of Elderly People pursues, as a matter of priority, the following objectives:
a) Initiating and organizing activities specific to elderly people;
b) cooperating with social institutions, church and NGOs to initiate actions to help people who have social problems;
c) making proposals and suggestions to improve the specific legislative framework.
The DPM’s National Organization of Elderly People operates based on its own Rules of Procedure, adopted by the National Conference of the Organization.
